Note: These are the documented water savings during a typical irrigation season (May-Sept.) with Climate Controlled Irrigation compared to traditional timer based watering. Water cost savings are based on City of Calgary irrigation water meter rates of $1.3628/m³ in 2006, $1.44/m³ for 2007, $1.5313/m³ for 2008, and $1.6201/ m³ for 2009. City of Calgary irrigation rates are increasing to $1.7141/m³ for 2010 and $1.8136/m³ in 2011. ROI is based on water rates at the time and year of installation. Usage amounts have been converted from m³ to litres for demonstration purposes. ET losses in 2006 were 29% righter than average and July of 2007 was the hottest and driest month on record in 47 years. Residential dollar savings are based on 2009 City of Calgary Residential Water/Sewer rates of $1.8868/m³.

We converted over 20 of our Calgary industrial properties to climate controlled irrigation and we are very glad we did. It performs exactly how the guys at ExactET told us it would. We are seeing approximately a 30% reduction in water costs as a direct result of adding the Exact systems. This means huge savings that we are able to pass on to our tenants. But just as importantly it keeps the landscapes healthy and looking great.
